HANDICAPPING PROGRAMS

The Educated Guess Handicapping Program has been developed to make handicapping a race quick and easy. Fifteen (15) individual program screens covering every condition in a race. Some entries so simple you can handicap a race in a few minutes. You will handicap using:

Pace, Earnings, Class, Consistency, Speed, Current Form, Days Away, Jockey Factor, Distance Factor, Weight Factor, Improvement Factor, Odds-Overlays, Odds-Underlays, Rating Programs

PACE CALCULATOR

This Program rates the horse as per its Pace. Pace is a factor of speed and indicates how a horse runs a race.  The fastest horse necessarily does not win the race; pace may make the difference.

PACE, EARLY SPEED, LATE SPEED, BEYER CALCULATOR

This Program rates the horse as per its Pace, Early Speed, Late Speed, And Average Beyer Speed Rating. The fastest horse necessarily does not win the race; pace may make the difference. In a Route Race (mile or more) late speed and pace may be a factor while in a Sprint Race (less then a mile) you might look for early speed and pace. The average Beyer figures for the last three races will usually indicate the horse with speed.

 EARNINGS/CONSISTENCY

This program will calculate Average Earnings per race (using a special algorithm) and ITM (In The Money) Consistency Percentages for Win, Place, and Show.

Consistency is a good indication how well a horse has been doing especially if it has been running on the same track and at the same distance. Average Earnings indicate how effectively a horse is doing at certain purse levels.

EARNINS WITH CLASS AND CONSISTENCY

This program will calculate Average Earnings per race (using a special algorithm), ITM (In The Money) Consistency Percentages for Win, Place, and Show and a Class Rating.

Consistency is a good indication how well a horse has been doing especially if it has been running on the same track and at the same distance. Average Earnings indicate how effectively a horse is doing at certain purse levels. Class will determine whether the horse is running in the proper level of competition against inferior or superior horses.

CLASS RATER #1

This program will calculate a Class Rating based on the type of races previously ran.

Class will determine whether the horse is running in the proper company against inferior or superior horses.

CLASS RATER #2

This program will calculate a Class Rating for horses running in Claiming Races based upon the horse’s last race.

Class will determine if the horse is running at the proper level of competition or is inferior or superior to the other horses in the race.

ODDS-TEN POINT SYSTEM

This is a unique program for figuring the Odds on the horses in a race. Very useful for spotting Overlays.  (An Overlay is when a horse should be going off at a certain odds, but goes off at higher odds).

ODDS PAYOFF CALCULATOR

Calculates payoff in dollars when any odds and any bet are entered.

LAST DAYS RACED RATER

Days Raced is actually an indication of Current Form.  This program will calculate a rating for Current Form based upon Days Raced and Workouts.

Cheap Allowance, Claimers, and Handicappers need to be raced often to improve.

DISTANCE QUALIFIER

There’s an expression in racing, “CAN DO”, which means that the horse has run a good race at today’s Race Distance and Class and most likely can do it again. This program determines if the horse qualifies at today’s race distance.

 IMPROVEMENT FACTOR

This program is to be used for Cheap Claiming Races. To qualify the horse must have had at least three races and two workouts in the past 28 days and raced at today’s race class or higher. The program rates the horse on improvement of performance.

Cheap Claimers need to be raced often and should show improvement in positions within a race and at the finish.

WEIGHT QUALIFIER

Weight should only be considered when all other Handicapping Conditions have been meet. Again you can apply the CAN DO principle.  If the horse has run a good race at the weight it is carrying in today’s race; it most likely can do it again.

The program determines if a horse qualifies at today’s race weight.

HORSE RATER #1

This is a complete rating program combining Distance, Class, Earnings, Consistency, Pace, Speed, and Track Condition.

HORSE RATER #2

This rating program combines Distance, Finish Position, Speed, and Track Condition to arrive at a rating.

JOCKEY PLUS FACTOR

This rating program combines Distance,  ITM (In The Money) Finishes, Wins,  Speed, Plus The Jockey Factor to arrive at a rating.
