Dear Ladies,

We are excited to announce that our speaker for the 2008 Women's Retreat will be Rebecca Jones.

Rebecca is an outstanding teacher and author of the book Does Christianity Squash Women? She and her husband Peter Jones, a professor at Westminster Seminary in California, lived in France for seventeen years.  She is a member of the PCA and the daughter of Dr. Edmund Clowney. 

Rebecca’s seminar, A God for All Seasons, is perfectly suited to our 2008 theme, “Beauty Through and Through.” Here is a description of each of the four talks in the series: 

1. The Young Woman: Laying the Foundations of Identity. As a young woman lays a life foundation, she chooses true love, decides what to think of her body, establishes a foundation of worth, and becomes a “pro-chosen” woman.

2. The Middle Years: Construction and Sacrifice. As a woman pours her energy into those around her, she builds a name, a home, a church family and is “built” by God. 

3. The Mature Years: Redecorating. As huge changes come into a woman’s life, she “redecorates” her bedroom, kitchen and living room and is herself redecorated by Christ. 

4. The Waning Years: Giving Away Your Treasure. As a woman approaches death, she must give away her jewels, pack her bags, say good-bye, and receiver her final treasure from Christ in the home He is preparing for her.
