The Lord's Day Extended Schedule

The following announcement for these changes was distributed with the Sunday bulletin on September 1, 2002 and reissued at the 2004 Annual Meeting. Additional revisions are posted here as changes are made in the program schedule. Please use this schedule in conjunction with those meetings listed on the Ministry page.

Lord's Day Notes:

Our Sunday evening meeting and catechism class are an integral part of our Sunday worship program.

The Lord's Supper

will be celebrated during the morning service every other month (year round).

September through May:

Sundays on which the Lord's Supper is celebrated, a light meal will follow immediately after Sunday School and will conclude with a time of devotion. There will be no evening gathering on those days in order that you may spend the remainder of the day with your family.

We ordinarily schedule this Pass the Plate dinner on the second Sunday of each month throughout the year.

Offering Notes

Covenant Church has a mechanism to increase our support for the Building Fund and the Deacon's Fund. On the Second Lord's Day of each month there will be a second offering following the General Offering.

	On the odd months — the months we celebrate Communion — the second offering will be for the Deacon's Fund.
	On the even months, the second offering will be for the Trustees and Building fund.

These second offerings are not designed to reduce our support of the general ministry of the church, which is what the tithe is for. But they give us a reminder and incentive to add our support to the needs of the facility and financially distressed souls.
